Officially established in 1980, Thresholds Homes and Supports Inc. has been serving the community for more than 35 years. In the early 1970’s, mental health professionals and other concerned citizens recognized the lack of decent, affordable, supportive housing for individuals with psychiatric disabilities and did something about it!
Thresholds Homes and Supports has grown from a single, eight-bedroom group home to providing more than 300 subsidized accommodations and serving more than 1,100 individuals.
Our subsidized accommodations include properties in Waterloo Region, Guelph/Wellington and Dufferin Counties. Thresholds Homes and Supports owns 11 properties and provides access to additional subsidized, one-bedroom and bachelor apartments from private, not-for-profit landlords and the Region of Waterloo.
